PRESSURE SYSTEMS

Single Pointer System

a pump pressure gauge with a hose attached to it
a pressure gauge with a hose attached to it

The single pointer system is available in pressure capacities up to 15,000 psi straight pressure or 20,000 psi 4:1 deboosted pressure. The single pointer gauge versions are available with coarse line increments for pump pressure applications and fine line increments for choke applications. The dual pointer compound pressure systems are available in straight pressure capacities up to 16,000 psi and have a vernier pointer on the gauge with a 4:1 resolution for extreme sensitivity to even the smallest pressure changes. Both types of systems come complete with 6" liquid filled gauge, bracket to mount gauge (on box mount version only), hose assembly, sensor assembly (diaphragm protector, 1:1 piston isolator, or debooster) and recharge kit consisting of hand pump and (1) qt. of instrument fluid.

Features

  • 6" dial face on gauge
  • Gauge is fluid filled
  • Rugged durable design
  • Standard capacities up to 15,000 psi straight pressure and 20,000 psi deboosted
  • Available in English, Metric, or dual scale divisions
  • Available in box mount version (damper attached to gauge) or panel mount version (remote mount damper)
  • Accuracy rate of 1 percent of full capacity
  • Standard hose length of 50 ft. (other lengths available)

Remote pump pressure standpipe gauges for mud pumps.

Pressure Indicating Manifold

  • Provides two indications: annulus pressures and tubing and drill pipe pressures. Ideal for drill stem testing, cementing or acidizing operations.
  • Pressure signals relayed to gauge indicators for convenient remote readouts. Gauges and hoses housed in light carrying case.

Compound Pressure Indicator System

  • GM4 and GM4P Series
  • Takes the guesswork out of Fracturing, Acidizing, Cementing or Mud Pressure Indication
  • Used primarily for monitoring pump pressures on service trucks engaged in cementing, high-pressure hydraulic fracturing operations or acidizing operations involving downhole stimulation of oil pay formations.
  • Dual dial is ideal for these operations since pressures in these processes range from high to low depending upon the kind of pay formation being treated.
  • Compound gauge has two pointers.
  • Dial has 4:1 vernier reading for indicating small pressure changes, such as formation breakdown or plugging of perforations, fractures, etc.
  • Vernier pointer makes four complete revolutions for full capacity of gauge, giving four times more resolution for the same pressure change.
  • Standard pointer is full 360° sweep of capacity of dial.
  • System consists of a pressure gauge with dual dial, high pressure hose and diaphragm protector assembly.
  • Gauge mounts in any convenient location for easy visibility. Usually mounted near truck mount recorders on a service truck.
  • Fluid-filled gauge dampens most truck vibrations and adjustable damper controls pump oscillations.
  • Pulsation damper, located at top of gauge, can be used to reduce pointer movement to steady, even action.
  • Pressure gauge receives its signals through high pressure hose from diaphragm-type protector assembly.
  • Diaphragm, mounted on any 2" connection, is equipped with a rubber cup, which separates pump fluid from hydraulic fluid, which actuates the gauge.
  • May be substituted for standard mud pump pressure gauge (GM6A).
  • Has all of the advantages of standard pump pressure gauges.
  • Can be easily recorded on either hydraulic circular recorders or electronic remote strip recorders.
  • Compound vernier-type gauges with long pointer movement provide optimum resolution of small pressure changes. Capacity is up to 16,000 psi.

How the Compound Pressure Indicator Works

Example: The compound gauge shown here has a 16,000 psi capacity. The inner dial has a yellow pointer which indicates psi; each increment shown represents 1,000 psi. One complete revolution of the inner dial yellow pointer indicates 16,000 psi. The outer dial has a red pointer which indicates psi; each increment shown represents 100 psi. One complete revolution of the outer dial red pointer indicates 4,000 psi.
